Thorbahn Acoustics conducted before-and-after testing at the ergoCentric Halifax Showroom after the installation of sound-absorbing acoustic treatments.
The result: reverberation time was reduced by up to 30% at key speech frequencies.
At 1000 Hz, an important frequency range for speech clarity, reverberation time dropped from 1.3 seconds to approximately 0.9 seconds.
Thorbahn Acoustics also noted that the improvement was immediately noticeable upon entering the space, with less reverberation and clearer speech sounds.
